I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were decent, offering a veranda with a smoking seat area, but they needed modernization and a good clean. On the bright side, my room had a great balcony overlooking the Kwai Noi River.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were what you'd expect of a three-star hotel, needed modernization and a good clean, but the balcony river view on the Kwai Noi was great.
Service
5.0
The service was a bit of a hit and miss. While the staff smiled a lot and were quick in collecting our bags, overall, they seemed crammed into the remaining carriages and some were unfriendly.
Location
8.0
The location of the hotel was a standout feature. Just a 50-minute drive from the main bridge of the River Kwai in downtown Kanchanaburi, it offers a relaxing atmosphere overlooking the river.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were basic, with no standout dishes. The buffet seemed repetitive, but the prices were reasonable, and you could order off the menu, providing some variety.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel facilities were satisfactory. While nothing exceptional stood out, everything was functional and met basic needs.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were spacious and comfortable but lacked cleanliness in certain areas. The service was exceptional, especially with accommodating special dietary preferences. The location was beautiful but also had humidity and insect issues. The dining options were average, and the facilities were decent overall.

Rooms

The rooms were large and very clean, but there were some dirty areas notably mold on the curtain and bedsheet cover.
Service

The staff went out of their way to cater to my wife's tastes, particularly Charlie, who was exceptional in guiding us through the local attractions. They provided excellent room service and housekeeping.
Location
8.0
The location directly on the river was superb, offering a nice and relaxing environment. However, being close to nature also meant dealing with humidity and insects.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was somewhat lacking, with recycled food from previous days. While the buffet at night was reasonably priced, the quality was not exceptional.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were decent, offering what was needed for a comfortable stay. However, there were some cleanliness issues that could be improved.

Staying in a room on the rafts offered a delightful experience with a well-appointed setup, although there were issues with air conditioning and lack of hot water. The unique location literally on the River Kwai was special, providing nice views of the jungle and Kwai Noi River below.

I was thrilled with my stay at the hotel. The rooms were cozy with a private terrace overlooking the river and lush jungle. The free boat service to the hot spring was a nice touch, making the experience exceptional. However, some aspects of the service fell short, with wearisome and unwelcoming staff encountered. The stunning location amidst gardens and alongside the river offered a truly relaxing setting, and the dining options were quite good but limited in variety. The facilities were top-notch and well-maintained.

The hotel offers large rooms with great views of the river, although in need of a makeover. The service was efficient overall, with a touch of warmth from staff like Emma. The location is stunning by the Kwai River, but the dining options were basic with limited variety. The hotel facilities met basic needs but could be enhanced.

Rooms

The hotel's location in a rural area beside the Kwai River offers stunning views, especially from rooms with balconies. However, the restaurant and bar were dated and the food choice limited.
Dining

The dining experience was very basic, geared towards tour groups, and lacked variety despite being reasonably priced. The restaurant was exposed to the elements for a period, affecting the overall comfort.
Facilities

The hotel facilities were sufficient but could benefit from updates and enhancements for a more enjoyable stay.

The hotel offers a unique experience with its charming terrace area surrounded by flower boxes and the serene river flowing underneath. The lush jungle view adds to the beauty, though the air conditioning and lack of hot water were minor drawbacks. The food was exquisite, standing out among the six hotels we visited in Thailand.

Rooms
9.0
I loved the rooms with their own terrace area overlooking the river and surrounded by flower boxes. The jungle-covered river bank opposite added to the natural charm.
Service
7.0
The staff provided varied services from room service to housekeeping and airport shuttle. However, some interactions, especially from the front desk, were a bit off-putting with unnecessary remarks.
Location
8.0
The isolated location with a beautiful tropical garden along the river Kwae was idyllic, offering a peaceful escape. However, the nearby ghastly singing could disrupt the tranquility.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was reasonably good for the price, especially the buffet at night. While the food was decent, it did not vary much day-to-day.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities were well-maintained, offering essential services to make the stay comfortable. The overall value for money was fair considering the amenities provided.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. While the rooms were spacious and had a comfortable bed with great decor, I noticed they were a little dirty in certain areas. The bathrooms, however, felt a bit tired. The service was exceptional, especially in catering to my wife's preferences for fish and vegetarian options. The location was excellent, providing easy access to attractions like the Death Railway and the Bridge over the River Kwai. Unfortunately, the dining experience was not up to par, with limited options and overall disappointing food quality.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel! The room I upgraded to in the River Wing was phenomenal with free breakfast included. Being on the rafts on the River Kwai was a unique and unforgettable experience. Despite some hiccups with service, the stunning location made up for it.
